Vibe Typer responds with "thank you" instead of my transcription
Resolve the issue where Vibe Typer only responds with 'Thank you' by fixing your microphone input settings.
The problem
Vibe Typer responds with "Thank you" or another short phrase no matter what you said. That means it is not picking up any speech.
Why this happens
Vibe Typer is listening to silence or background noise, because the wrong microphone is selected or the input volume is too low. Given silence, the transcription model fills the gap with a polite closing like "Thank you."
Fix your microphone settings
1. Check the system microphone
Start at the system level. On Windows, macOS, and Linux, open your system sound settings and check that the microphone you want is the default input device and that its input volume is high enough. On macOS, if the app cannot reach the microphone at all, check System Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone.
2. Set the input device in Vibe Typer
If your system microphone is working but Vibe Typer still isn't hearing you:
- Open Vibe Typer.
- Go to Settings -> System.
- Locate the Input Device or Microphone selection.
- Manually select the correct microphone device from the list instead of "Default".
Then speak again. Vibe Typer should now transcribe what you said.
