Local History and Privacy
Learn what Vibe Typer stores in local transcription history, how to clear it, and what is not uploaded.
Vibe Typer keeps recent transcription and AI results locally on your device so you can copy, reuse, or recover recent output.
What local history stores
Local history can include:
- Recent transcripts.
- Recent AI command results.
- Original and formatted transcript text used by Magic Formatter review.
This history is for convenience inside the desktop app.
What is not uploaded as history
Vibe Typer does not upload your local history to your account as a transcript archive. Audio is processed for transcription and is not stored as recordings on Vibe Typer servers.
Your account may still sync settings and usage metadata, such as language, preferences, subscription entitlement, word counts, and AI operation counts. Those are separate from local transcript history.
Clear or disable history
You can manage history from the app:
- Open Vibe Typer.
- Go to the recent transcription history area.
- Use Clear history to remove existing local entries.
- Use Disable local history to clear existing history and stop saving future entries locally.
